I have 2 villagers who are so close to becoming the first elders in the tribe, but the last skill is building, and there are no more huts to make at the moment. (pop: 24) Fixing huts doesn't help much, and I'm not sure how far away the next population milestone is. Is there a soup for building skill like there is for parenting? If not... is there anything I can do for them?

9 of my elders are master parents, researchers, and farmers. Those seem to be the easiest skills to accumulate. Usually, when I have a villager that is already a master in two skills: they still aren't master parents. So I take that villager and constantly drop it on another [a female over 50 for no babies & if it's a male] for about 5 minutes straight. Soon, they are esteemed elders!

If your two are already master parents, I'd be stuck! *lol*

I have tried finding the stew recipes...I saw them once before but I cannot find them now. Plus, has anyone made a guide that tells which stews help with which skills? Or do you just have to try them all and watch what happens?

If you look in the Guides section for the game, you'll find very good stew recipe books that tell you exactly what the stews all do. \:\)

Is it the general one? I didn't see anything on there. I know there were a bunch posted via links, was it one of those?

Oh, and *sorry if this is too nosy* but are there stews for all the skills? Just curious.

This thread in the Guides section has 10 different recipe guides. All the stews are listed there.

To the best of my knowledge, no. There are only two stews that I know of that affect skills:

One stew can be used to make your villagers sick (white-black-black), which gives your doctors a way to skill-up.

Another stew causes your villager to exercise (red-red-red). After a minute or two, when they finish exercising, they have a chance at a building skill-up. If they succeed and you have your circle around that villager, it will say your villager became better at building; if they fail, they will shake their head.

Does the villager that ate the "special" stew to improve building skill have to be highlighted in order to improve?

After reading this thread, I now have elders who are master parents! This was sooo easy, I thought it was too good to be true...I was kind of right. Right now every single one of my female villagers who are of child bearing age have babies, all at the same time! And my female master parents have chosen their favorite younger males to dominate! (They are either in the love shack or waiting for someone)
As hilarious as this may be, know that if you choose to make elders through master parenting be prepared to micromanage more than you already do!
