Anything said in hysterics is the best.
"Why are you doing laundry? You're a Master Farmer and a plague of locusts have eaten the crops or something!"
or,
"There is a crazy disease sickening everyone, Doctor -- don't stop to tell a joke!"
And I can only imagine what sort of joke a Doctor would stop to tell during a situation like that.
