Yes, that happened with VF1 as well.

I've got all those things you mention out in my yard, plus the sand box and the trampoline as well.

The collectibles still show up but sometimes they are partly underneath some of the "furniture" - I'd guess that sometimes they spawn in positions that are completely hidden so we don't see them. In a similar way, socks, wrappers and spots sometimes appear underneath furniture indoors and they're not found unless the furniture is moved (rather like Real Life!).
