Hi mysteryshrimp, I don't think so, it's more to do with the medicine and luck elements than anything else, although, as arnie said, having a master parent does give you a better chance since they are always getting pregnant.
However, I personally don't recommend having a male master parent as your village can get out of control and become over-populated quickly since he will make babies with all of the females.
