If you read the story of the Hard Tribe, you'll see that it's possible to revive a tribe like that. Mine didn't get quite as bad as that, but an event saved it. So it is possible if you stick it out.

Thanks Krystal.
It doesn't seem to come up in a search and I went through the first 30 pages with no luck.
I was mistaken.
He is only 7.
And there is no food.
And his health meter is empty.
I've paused it. I guess I'll leave it paused until I scan and find a few mushrooms.

The story of The Hard Tribe can be found several places, but the most nicely formatted one is here.

Buru is now 9 and completely healthy. Now, when he turns 14, would you ring the gong or is it too risky? How about events with an option? Do I open the sacks? etc. So many decisions.

I would have said ring the bell. It usually grants my villagers, haven't had anything bad happen yet.

Yes, I was/am WillieWonka.
I forgot my password and have so many email addresses I couldn't figure out how to have it sent to me. I requested help numerous times over a 2 week period and got none so I just opened a new acct. I've since figured out which email addy I used so I can access that id now but have chose to just use this one.

It's still in my email folder. I can resend it to see if it arrives this time if you'd like.

That's not a valid support address. You either need to email support@ldw.com (which will redirect you to our FAQ) or submit a Support Form in order to actually reach someone at LDW.

OK here's what happened.
I became diconnected and tried to log back in but I couldn't remember my password. I then requested my password. When I did, It told me it does not have that email in the system.
On that same page it says 'Contact Us'.
I clicked on that and sent the email.
Just to make sure I did it just now and that's the email address that comes up everytime.
So basicly, if someone requests their password and types in the wrong email addy, they will be brought to a screen telling them this. If they then try to request help from that same page, their request will go unanswered?

I'll look into it. There have been a lot of changes over the last few months, and I don't believe that email address is monitored anymore. I agree that's not a good situation.

I hope I was able to help. Should I/you delete one of the accounts? Anyway, Back to Buru. I've been very busy and have left the game paused quite abit. When I have played, Ive been running at half speed. I started this when he was 7. He is now 10. In all that time I have yet to have an event. Doesn't that seem to be a little long to go w/o one or is it because I'm at half speed. Any idea on what a good average number of years per event would be? Geez, For the amount of time I've put into this game I can't believe how clueless I still am. lol Food supply is dropping. Gotta go, Bill....and Buru

You'd normally get an event 24 hours real time after the last one. The speed at which the game is running makes no difference. However, events only happen when you have at least one adult villager (14 or over). You'll have to wait for an event until Buru grows up a little more, I'm afraid.

Yes, I'm pretty sure Arnie is right. But I really hope Buru makes it! This thread has created a lot of Buru supporters!

Laurence is right, but be careful, as playing at 2X speed means the food is consumed faster. You might find it difficult for Buru to survive on just mushrooms unless you get lucky and find a couple of red ones. Put the game back on half speed if the food level is getting dangerously low, and in any case do it once Buru turns 14.

Looking snazzy Buru.
Now just stay young forever or until a great island event comes along and all is not lost.

Well Buru is now 24 and has mastered fishing and harvesting. Good thing, since he just rang the gong and now all is food is gone.

Thanks laurence. Will do.
Buru is now 54 years old and has had the same event 3 times in a row. Someone must want him to die a fire ant death.

The gong granted wisdom so no extra event. He can't make a stew either. He keeps forgetting what he's doing.
Now 67, the fire is only good for 6 more hours and he can't get another log on.
Boohoo has been alone for at least 60 years.
The end is definitely near.

Thanks guys.
Yes. I've started one already.
I am going to reach the maximum number of totems this time. That being 100.(my theory)
What d'ya think?

I don't know if it's possible but take care of your villagers, this time! For me, the best challenge is to make Elders with villagers who are, a priori, not apt (because of their "likes/dislikes", for example) and to keep them living old, numerous and happy!!

The max number of totems is 50 But there are events that can give you more, so, if they happened to the right people enough times, you could wind up with a lot of elders.

I don't believe so.
I believe the trick is not to make any until you are told by an event. Once told, make that person an elder and you will be credited as having 2 while the program is only registering one. Once the program registers fifty, no more are allowed so you can only make an elder when the event happens again. Keep in mind that same event will have to happen fifty times for this to be proven.
Wish me luck!!!

No, it doesn't actually tell you. But if you get the event where you see a reflection, and you make the right choice, that villager will be duplicated with a totem. I had this happen with a child of a brand new tribe. She had a totem at 7 years old. Once I finally made her an elder, my stat page said I've made 2.
No one else in this new tribe has mastered even two things other than the girl with double elder status.

I had this event in one tribe But in an other tribe, I had the same event, I replied the same and it duplicate the young villager but... no totem more (and also in my stats)!! I don't know why but I think that the difference is that I already had 50 totems, since a long time!!

I think the trick is having it happen to someone who is not an elder and then having them become one.
If it happens to an elder, then you would have to start all over since you wouldn't be able to reach 100 at that point.
I haven't figured it all out yet but I definitely think I'm on to something.

Oh, Wonka, what a story! (pictorial story) I kept expecting him to be rescued somehow--what a life. How can a bunch of pixels touch us so much?! It reminds me of a book I read, "Ishi: Last of His Tribe", based on a true story of a man in the southwest who's entire tribe died out when he was still a kid. Years later he was found by a white-man who took him to a city, but he always greived over losing all he was familiar with.
