We released a press release today on Plant Tycoon (just announcing to the media that the game will be available later this summer). We had some small issues with the art and this has holding us up a little bit. Hope it will go faster now. Here are the screenshots that came with the Press Release:

I can't wait for the game to be finished!!!! I actually kind of like the VV and VV2 heads. But the game looks awesome, I can't wait for it to come out for Windows. Good thing it's almost done.

To be honest, I wasn't interested in Plant Tycoon until I saw the graphs. Now that my attention has been gotten, I'm looking forward to the release. And I like the heads as well.

Is there any particular technical reason why the heads from Virtual Villagers can't be used in Plant Tycoon? I would think that VV players would welcome the chance to see their old friends again in a different setting.

LDW would probably save some development time and costs by re-using the heads, although I imagine your artist might not be so pleased as his fee would be less.

LOL. The little guys with the yellow trousers and blue top are the exact combination as a villager that I moddified for one of my mods. LOL.

Using the VV heads is actually very cool - it creates a sense of continuity, like when we all saw the Spotanus fish in the pond of the first VV! That was great!

They are bringing fish tycoon out on the Nintendo DS and that vesion of the game will have over 700 fish!!!

Grandma1958, PT for Windows if you look, is actually in Beta Testing. So they haven't "exactly" got it done.

Well our summer hasn't been very good here in the UK. We must of only had 3-6 days of the temperature being above 20°C.

Those plants wouldn't last long here. Don't remember the last day temp was under 90°f, about 32°C. At least it's not in the triple digits anymore.

It's 12.25 pm in the UK, i've just checked BFG and they DON'T have Plant Tycoon pre-launched on there site. I am a game club member and it is'nt tomorrow's game either, so a bit confused as to where this information has come from.

I'm from the USA (East Coast) and I went to BFG at approx. 8:40am with the same results as shell1308 and I'm also a game club member. What's up with that!?

I guess we have to wait two more days :(..so unfair!

Well, I was silly enough to stay up until after midnight just to see (of course, I saw nothing) on BFG... Now it's 7:20 a.m. here, Mountain Time, and still nothing on BFG except the same game that was offered there YESTERDAY. They guarantee a new game every day (I'm a member there, also) for your monthly $$$, and it doesn't seem fair to be running yesterday's offering today (never seen them do that before!). WHERE'S OUR PLANT TYCOON????????????

Today is the "pre-launch" at Big Fish Games, which means that only people who receive an email invitation from Big Fish Games will be able to get the game. Plant Tycoon won't be officially launched until the 7th, when it will be listed on their site.

I usually get a daily email from them (only if you signed up for one) featuring certain games. I got one announcing "Wedding Day Dash" yesterday, played it on a trial last night, and today's it's the featured game, so maybe that's how it goes. Will post if I get one later. As far as writing them, yes, I have - but they have a 24-hour response time, so am not holding my breath! lol I'm just going to wait and pay my bucks to LDW!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS GAME IS SO GREAT! MY FAMILY THINKS I HAVE FLIPPED MY LID BUT, I HAAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A VERY LONG TIME!! AND NOW I HAVE IT IT'S GREAT I THINK IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!

I'm torn, I would love to download the game and play it for an hour which is what a usual free trial is but with real-time games an hour is hardly a taste of the real game and as addicting as all of the LDW games are I am bound to get addicted within the first 5 minutes and then when the hour is up I will be going through withdrawal symptoms until Friday!!!

Lol, choose wisely when to play it and enjoy the 60 minutes! At least you get to play an hour... I need to wait until Friday

Big Fish Game Members can download the game today. I just bought it. Go to their website, and sign in, then go to your "Game Club" page. It will tell you what "tomorrow's game" is. That will be the one.

It depends on what Arthur meant by "a few more days" in his post. Normally, Big Fish Games sells a new release exclusively for more than two days.

I personally do not think its fair they get it before you. It's your game, it ought to be available on your site as well. I do understand the business side of it and the "Exclusive" part... I just don't think its fair...

As Arthur has said before, Big Fish Games has done a lot for us, and that limitation is minor compared to all the good that has come of having them as our publisher.

Will there be spoilers out soon?...that is the only way I could get started on the other games...LOTS of HELP:-)

I am not sure how to do anything yet..I have read thru the instructions and they don't seem to register (for me) ...so I was hoping some one that has been playing for a while will have some hints.....I have been waiting (just like every one else) and can hardly wait to get started but I don't seem to be getting any where

Have you checked out the getting started walkthrough and the tips in the Guide Section?

Check out the Plant Tycoon forum and the Plant Tycoon guide forum. I expect more will be posted as people get to know the game. It's early days yet.

If you still don't get something, ask in the PT forum. I'm sure someone will be able to answer.

It will be a couple of weeks before Plant Tycoon is released to Reflexive and the other game sites. Big Fish Games, as our publisher, has exclusive rights to sell the game for now.

Well, guess my husband has to sit and listen to me say how much I want PT for another cpl weeks .. at least til it hits Reflexive. lol
