Why do you think in vv2 that when I pause the game everybody freezes but collectables keep popping up. If I pause the game and leave it, come back to it later, the people are not where I left them? They go off and do things but I get nothing for it. No points that is. Sounds like a "Toy Story" situation to me.

The game does not store the location or current activity of villagers in the savegame file, but rather determines their starting positions and tasks when you launch the game (or switch game slots). That's why you see them in different places than when you left them, even though the game is paused.

Collectibles (and mushrooms) ignore the pause setting and continue to appear - that's just how those things work.

I figured that is what was happening when it came to the collectables but I liked finding out what was up with my villagers.

Sometimes I would line them all up into groups. Sometimes by job and sometimes whether they were masters, adept, and so on. If what I was doing was taking awhile and I needed a rest or I just needed to go do something, I would close out because my machine crashes if I just leave it open but when I got back, my groups were off doing something else.
