I wanted my people to have kids. They had already tried 3 times with no luck. The father was running, but the mother had just been walking normally. I put them on top of each other on the deck. The father got to the bed first so he started walking away while the mom had just gotten there. I moved the mom, and voila, twins! laugh What are the chances? wink

Has that happened more than once? It may have been unrelated. Correlation not equaling causation and all that.

By the way, I always take my couple to the bedroom (or early in the game, to the room with the ratty sofa) before trying, so they don't have to walk so far. Also, before I do that, I get one of them to prepare a meal and I feed everyone. I also make sure both parents are feeling fresh. I'd like to say I don't make them try when they are exhausted, but that would be a lie.

If I have a spare sofa, I block the doorway off with it, which doesn't always work to keep them there and the kids out but sometimes it does. I keep the kids busy elsewhere - in the shower, or watching TV or playing on the computer, or if one persists in entering the parents' room, I just drop them in a far corner of the yard. I haven't noticed that having a kid in the room - or even on the bed - changes the chances of having a baby, but having them in there offends my tender sensibilities.

LOL Aviatrix! I feel the same way about having kids in the bedroom when the couple is trying to have a baby. The playhouse keeps them occupied for a long time, so I put all of the kids there before trying!

Yes, because LDW is very good at being nice and polite while adding things that do happen in real life.

I also pull my kids away. I never thought of the couch Dora, I like that! I usually let the parents eat first so they can try for a baby while the kids eat. once a kid was banging dishes, it interrupted the parents and they didn't try again >_< soy motto is to make sure the kids aren't doing anything disruptive
