So I'm not sure if this is a good thing to really post about, because it's usually frowned upon.

This sounds terrible, but I want to change how my kid looks physically. She doesn't blend with the family.

I know there is a way to go into the images and mod everything, but is there a way to get into the game script and change the details of my game?

As you noted, it is possible to mod the images in the Windows/Mac versions of the game (depending on where the game was purchased).

However, there is no approved way to actually alter the programming of the game, it would fall under the "no hacks" rule of our Forum Rules, and therefore would not be a suitable topic for the forums.

Where would I find these files? I bought the game from BFG and I've looked through all of the image files and can't find the people...

Unfortunately, Big Fish Games has, in the past, packaged our games in ways that do not allow access to the images files. However, if you can find the images folder, the file names are fairly self-explanatory.


Instructions for locating the images files for both Windows and Mac (they are different) can be found here.

**Please note: The location of the folder where Virtual Families is installed does depend on where you purchased the game.
