Someone made a mod for the original VF game that made all of the characters Black (with dark skin and dark hair). Would I be able to transfer those images to VF2? Do both games use the same characters?

Thank you!

Do you mean Lewanda's mod here? I suppose the only way to know is to try it out and see. I think the heads and bodies files have the same names in both games, so it might work. You would of course have VF1 peeps in your VF2 game, but presumably that would be OK. What I don't know is if the image files map precisely - that there are the same number of possible peeps in both games. It is also possible that VF2 peeps can move their heads and/or bodies slightly differently to the ones in VF1 and the image files don't include that particular action. In some cases peeps might have a blank space where the image didn't load properly.

If you do decide to try it out make doubly sure you've backed up the original image files first so you can restore them easily if there's a problem, and let us know how you got on!

Yes - that's exactly the one. I wonder if anyone can mod the VF2 files for me rather than have me corrupt the game somehow.

I am not a modder - I don't really have the patience for the sometimes intricate work and almost all my previous attempts have turned out poorly. From Lewanda's comments when she posted that VF1 mod it was a particularly long and difficult operation. Coming from an expert modder like Lewanda, that's something!

I'm by no means a pro at modding. I'm self-taught and the little I've done takes me hours to do. What Lewanda did was extremely generous! I can't imagine how many hours she spent doing all those heads and bodies. I'm afraid I wouldn't dare take on such a huge and complex modding task.

Kudos to Lewanda!

Agreed. I'm thinking she probably did them all at once though because she said that the clothing that was originally white was also recolored. I tried to play with the file but I don't think I have the right kind of editing software on my PC. The characters do look the same, though. I may just try to use the VF1 file and see what happens. Worst case - I'll just change them back!

I tried it. It didn't work. The heads were detached so I think the characters are a different scale.
