Here's a transparent menu bar for VF2. It works on either PC or Mac.
Sorry I don't know the path for the PC.

For Mac users:
Before you do anything else, make sure you copy the original PNG images
and put them somewhere safe.
The files you need to save are: main_BG_ws.png and main_BG.png

1. Right click on Virtual Families 2.app and a pop-up window appears
2. Click "Show Package Content"
3. Click "Content" folder
4. Click "Resources" folder
5. Click "images" or simply drop both .png files into the folder

Path: ~/Application/LDW/Virtual Families 2.app/Content/Resources/images
