I started a spreadsheet via google docs for all the careers and salaries in VF2. There are plenty of blanks and most likely a few errors. Feel free to help contribute and correct anything.

I currently have it as view only so you need to reply with any missing information and I will update it. If I feel I no longer have the time to keep updating it, I will make it so anyone can edit it laugh

VF2: Careers and Salaries

NOTE: Red color indicates careers that do not have a linear increase in salary.

Most excellent work, stardustz17. I particularly appreciate seeing the job locations!

Ah, wouldn't you know that my new generation's patriarch is a day trader. I'm going for a spouse who at least shares a work space since I've not been successful getting that "perfect" match. smile

Cocktail Inventor is a really low paying job if you can't make it to at least level 6, lol.
Making a perfect match is a bit too hard for me. Even in Virtual Family 1 for PC I haven't had any chance to achieve this goal.

Thankfully I don't have any problems training my little peeps. I leave them for a few hours and when I come back they're level 4 or 5. They tend to reach level 8 in the early to mid 30s, even without all the career upgrades.

I have yet to get twins or triplets. Also missing the perfect match goal, but I'm hoping to be lucky one of these days.

Added some more tabs. One is events and the other is email. Feel free to comment here or on the spreadsheet page (there is a comment section in the top right I believe) with any missing or incorrect information. I'm still missing some information and I would appreciate any kind of help smile

Added a flea market tab so you know what items you can find in the flea market with description and price. Also added a useful link tab.

Updated emails and events tab. I now have most of the job data up, but still missing some info.

Just a quick question. Has anyone's little people ever went on the weighing scale on their own like in VF1? Mine only goes on it when I drop them on it.

Mike don't weigh themselves unless I tell them to. I bought the yoga ball too since I had one always wishing for excersise room or something. They do absolutely nothing with it even if they're dropped on it. Total waste of money.

Thanks for making the charts!

We don't have much information out about the Windows Version yet so I looked at your chart for earnings. Something I noticed is that both my people (only have one file a few days old) are earning double what they should be by your chart. They have been getting double all along. So starting out their salary was 120 rather than 60. Does anyone have any feedback? Obviously having never played the iOs version I don't know if maybe everything costs half as much or what.

As I said in the Windows/ Mac forum, salaries do appear to be double those in in iOS version. I've compared prices of some store items and they seem the same, but I haven't looked at more than a few things. No doubt this is due to the lack of IAPs in the desktop versions.

Hey Arnie, what is an IAP? I know, I can be really dumb, but you don't learn if you don't ask, right? smile

In-App Purchases smile which are things you buy on the iOS version with real money. Since there is no method in Windows versions to purchase IAPs from, they were removed completely in the desktop versions of the game.

Oh -- Thank you Xay! smile Now I understand why I didn't know what an IAP was, lol! I'm glad I have the PC version, things are expensive enough, lol! Must be why the salary is doubled.

The game itself is FREE for the iOS, so the way LDW makes any money on that version of the game is through the in-app purchases. We paid for the PC version of the game, though, so asking us to buy stuff for real money inside that version of the game would be kinda rude. wink

Sorry I've been away for so long. Work has taken up much of my time.

I updated the file's title, now "Virtual Families 2 (VF2) Data Guide for iOS". I also included a note indicating that the salaries are for the iOS version and not the pc/mac version. Thanks for the information Arnie smile

I might make a windows/mac income table based on the assumption that it is 2x the amount earned in the iOS version. I also plan on updating the spreadsheet with information regarding events and the items you can purchase.

As always, any help with missing or incorrect information is much appreciated laugh

Until next time~

Yea, I understand that, Corylea, I just have never made any IAP's and forgot that such things existed. When I stated that things are expensive, I meant for our peeps in the game. smile

It occurs to me that a couple of times I've seen salaries in the Windows version (presumably the same in the Mac OS version) that end in a 5, so they can't be uniformly double those in the iOS version. I'd say they'd be close enough, though!
