I got impatient for an Island event and purchased one - a Large rotten half eaten old fruit crate. Of course I chose to leave it alone. Took a gamble on another event and got same event as before. One more time and got the same awful event for the 3rd time.

Makes me worried to purchase any more! Are they truly random? Anyone else get the same event 3 times in a row?

I see what you mean. That was truly bad luck. I have had the same event at least three times in a game before, but I don't think it was in a row. I play the PC version, where you can't purchase events, etc., but the events there are random.

I have gotten a different event twice in a row. With so many Master Scientists I was rally racking up the tech points and would have a "field day" purchasing event after event just to see what happens. I really like the iOS additions.
