smile I always feel like when the first generation of my new game dies its like turning over a new leaf... I also usually do something special for all the villagers who were the first, make the others put flowers on their graves. smile

I usually only get sad when my favorites die, but the first few are always hard.

I do that, too.

Also, I think that when a villager dies and a new one is born with the same name, that's because the villagers believe in reincarnation and the dead person has come back to life. When someone is born with the same name as someone still living, I stick the morpheme "-aru" after their name which means "named after" or "named in honor of" in my personal language and sounds sufficiently Isolish.

Since when is 56 elderly!!! Guess I just gave too much away. I have only recently discovered these games after I retired. Am having a great time. VV is my first in this kind of genre. Love it. Somewhere I have packed the first SIMS.

Your villagers probably haven't progressed far enough yet.
Click to reveal..
If you get the top level of Medicine they won't get elderly until 66.
