According to this page (if you need to, set the currency) the cost is £13.82 at the moment. I think you'll need to add on VAT, though.

We really do not want to make the VV games, or any of our games, smaller or cheaper. In fact, we are spending more than ever on the development, so we are moving forward carefully and trying to make good decisions to keep this sustainable for us, and to keep making the games that we believe in.

and you are right! But I suppose that it's not easy every day! GO LDW!

I had some issues getting the game loaded. I'd like to thank Heather; she responded to my email very quickly and I've had no more problems. The game is great.

Go Arthur!!! Continue making your guys' games honestly, just like you always have. I am looking into purchasing VV4 soon. Now, tell everyone at LDW to give themselves a pat on the back and a round of applause!

Just a FYI,
I play games on the IWIN site and today's new game is VV-Tree of Life as a premium game with stragety guide and including Virtual Family for $19.95, good deal. I already have the VF games that I purchased from IWIN. I have the other vv games that I purchased from the store. I've already download VV Tree of Life from LDW site but have not purchased it yet. When on LDW site seen references about issues, so I decided to wait a bit befor purchasing.
