Ugh. I feel so high-maintenance posting questions here, its so empty. Here goes. My village is running out of females, im down to 1 fertile one, age 40. Is there any way to ensure that a child is male or female? I wish ldw implemented a system where out of every three children, at least one was male, and at least one was female.

There is not a way to pick the gender of the child unfortunately. The good news is that your female should be able to have a few more children. With luck, they will be female.

I am not sure if you can back up save files on the iPod version of VV3. If you can, I would strongly recommend doing so in case you have nothing but males.

After i asked the question nothing but females were born.... Thats enough now.. I dont think u can backup.

Restoring a savegame file on an iPod touch or an iPhone is not possible. The gender of children at birth is random, and is not caused by any external influences.
