I had the Same Problem with the FULL and LITE Version.All you have to do is,on the iPod/iPhone,delete the App.Then,go to the App Store on the iPod/iPhone,find the App,and re-buy/Download it.If you bought it,it WONT charge you again,it'll just re-download.No worries,it's not gonna cost.Then once it's downloaded,go on it,create a test Family,then go off of it onto the Main Menu on the iPod/iPhone,then back onto the Game.It should've saved.

How to Delete An APP:
On the iPod/iPhone Main Menu,press your finger on the app lightly,and hold it.Then all your App's will have an,'X' on them,click X on the One You'd like to Delete.

The procedure in this sticky post at the top of this forum and this answer in our Support FAQ also works to resolve the issue, and it doesn't require re-downloading the game.

Well,for me it did.I even restarted my iPod Touch,and It never worked,until I re-downloaded it.I just posted this for people that are curious.It's what I had to do.
