We don't even HAVE central a/c... just a couple of window AC's and every other free window in the house is covered with screens so we can open the windows and not have the cats bolt out. I have these 2 giant windows in my room, so I rarely use the ceiling lights year-around except if I'm stuck working or studying at night.
