Lewanda, are you seeing them in a game that was started new after you installed version .05? Because in my game they are really easy to see and really ugly.

hmmm, I do have a mod though that makes it easier to see the weeds, the wrappers, socks, collectibles, etc. Maybe that's what's causing mine to look so ugly.

If there's not very much going on in the game I'll sometimes drop a peep in the necessary place and usually they'll start clearing the cobweb, even though I can't see if one is there or not. I I put my face about an inch from the screen and squint hard I'll usually see one. smile

Arnie, if you'll look back to last night you'll see that I posted a mod where I made the cobweb more visible. I jsut made it a bit darker. The download also has a bit more brighter weeds so they can be seen at night.

Lewanda!

You totally ROCK!!!!! I am on my 5th generation with most of my families and I have purchased all the upgrades in the game. I log on everyday to see your new mods. After you get all the upgrades and are just working on completing the trophies (94 of 100) changing out the mods still make the game interesting and fun. I have seen several posts suggesting expansion packs for VF and I'm definitely in favor of that happening. I have one family with $74,568.89 and nothing to spend the money on but clothes and food. Just thought I'd let you know how much I appreciate the work you post!

Lewanda,

Sorry, I wasn't clear what I meant.

I intended to indicate that it doesn't really matter all that much if you can't see a the cobweb; if a peep is dropped in the right place it'll get cleared away. I assume it does take a while before they reappear, but I've never checked.

I'm not denigrating your mods in the slightest by this. I think you are doing a great job; they are excellent, and I'm especially impressed by the speed at which you are producing them.

I can't take too much credit, myself ... I accidentally found my first one the same way BayouBlonde did: trying to get someone to do something else.

I clean 'em up when I think about it, but don't worry about it otherwise. Kinda like I do in real life. grin

*drumroll please*
I see.... COBWEBS!!!

Thank you sooo much, Lewanda!!! It is perfect and is exactly what I was hoping for! The weed tweak is also perfect and not overly imposing.

Simsane hun, I think you have the other mod that I didn't want (no offense intended to the creator.) It's just a bit too obtrusive for me. I like the fact that some rare collectables are a bit harder to see than others (ex. dragonflies.) It just annoyed me that the cobwebs were completely invisible.

Lewanda, I completely agree about your mods. I had the all the upgrades and tons of money on several families before my game files were accidentally erased. Your mods kept the game fresh and new and made me feel as if I still had things to offer my older families.

My reason for wanting to know when the cobwebs are there... well, I guess I am a bit OCD about keeping my little families' homes clean and tidy. I have this theory that it somehow affects their health and frequency of illnesses.
