I lost my remote for 2 days and looked every where. Then on the 3rd day I saw it in front of the collectibles drawer lol

I saw it is under the computer desk but cannot pick it up ~ so sad and need help now!!

I think I read somewhere that if you get the "maids" event, everything goes back where it should. So if you really can't get it, maybe that is a possible solution. I can't find where I read that though, so it might not be true.

Same happened here! I didn't know it was under the desks, till I propped a kid onto the computer and he came up with the remote.

I've read the search topics for the remote control, when you lose it. Well, I've lost my remote control for a 4th generation family (so I don't want to restart!).

1. How do I mod the remote.png ?
2. Is there another way to retrieve the remote?

You can use the attached modded image (it's a HUGE remote) to help you locate it (right-click and choose Save as). Once you know where it is (assuming you find it), you can try to pick it up. We are looking at this issue for a future update.

I've tried to mod the remote.png to a much larger size (that was suggested in this thread). No luck.

Then I found the remote and it was exactly where the picture above with the red arrow is. I can't get to it.

I replaced the inventory tray with the modified, transparent tray (thank you to Tuna Puzzler).

I STILL can't get the remote. I keep dropping my people onto it and it won't work. I've even use the littlest person that I have, who is age 6. No luck.


Please please help!

Thanks for the modified remote.png. I've replaced it into my folder, as modified and HUGE. I can see the huge remote in my game.

When I place one of the little family members to retrieve the remote, they don't. At all. This thing is HUGE and it's still the same problem.

Help help help!

I truly truly don't want to start over with this generation. It's 4th or 5th generation now.

No wonder you're frustrated, it looks like it's out of bound!
Have you tried quitting the game? The remote usually turns up in different locations.
