Hi, This is my first time posting, so I hope that it goes ok.
I am really enjoying this new game as it intriques me.. Saying
this, I am quite a bit frustrated when after my little people start a family then add another baby that the praise glove has
disappeared.... Has anyone had this complaint? If so, do you know how to make it appear again? I really miss the interaction and the rainbow that comes up when my little person appreciates the praise... I DID try the candy but don't
get that response... Is this a bug, or is there help??

Oh no!! That hasn't happened to me, doesn't sound like something that should. I would say just exit the game and go back in again and hope that it reappeared, that's what I would do and if that doesn't work..... well maybe someone else will have a better idea!!

you mean that in the tools, on the left side, there is no green glove? Just a red one?

Yes, I had one in the beginning on the left hand side underneath the red one, but now it is gone. I tried to shut the game down and then re-start it, but it didn't matter.
Has this happened before?

Can you remember what you were doing the last time you had the praise glove, before it vanished?

Silly question, I know, but have you tried restarting your computer, not just the game? If that doesn't work, look at forum threads related to "hotfix"es for the game...maybe a reinstall would work, and it shouldn't interfere with your game in progress. Sorry that happened to you, and hope you get the problem fixed soon!

I "think" I was praising my little person for something they did, but then all of a sudden I noticed it did not go back in
the tray. I have another VF game going on my PC so went to see
what was happening to that one, and when I came back it was still
gone, so I shut it down, and when it came up it was still gone?

Do you remember if you tried to put it back when you finished praising? Or did it disappear from the "guiding hand" before you could put it away?

No, the other game is on a different computer, I downloaded the first game to my labtop. Will let you know what happens when I
get the re-install done to this game that has the problem. The
other game is not having a problem, yet, but I am not playing it
as much.

Please let us know what happens. It could be a couple of different things, and the reinstall will eliminate one of them.

Well, I downloaded the re-install, and still no praise glove. Anymore suggestions? Will try shutting down the entire computer next. Will let you know!

Still no praise glove,and a did a hard shut down for about 3-5 minutes. Can you send me a link to put it in the
store so I could buy it to put it on my tray? I really miss it, I got the kids pulling weeds and wanted to praise them, and now the store does not even have the candy to purchase.. (sigh)

Could you please check the image that contains the gloves, just to make sure it's intact? It probably is, since it would have been replaced by reinstalling the game, but let's check to be sure. Navigate to Program Files\Virtual Families\Images and look for InventoryItems.png. You should see two views of the green glove, followed by two views of the red glove.

Unfortunately, if the glove is OK in that image, and is not present in the tool tray, there isn't a way to put it back at this time. We'll see if we can get this fixed, though.

Well it took some doing but I finally found inventory items and
yes, there are two gloves of each color.. (sigh) Do you want my
email addy if you need to send me a link or something?? I am sure it is in my profile. Not sure how you do these things, but

It might be a bit before we can fix this, and we will release another update to the game when it's fixed. We will make an announcement here (like Arthur did with 1.00.01), and you will be able to download and install it to fix your game.

We would like it if you would send us your savegame files. I'm going to send you a private message, which you can check by clicking My Stuff, then Messages. I'll explain what to do in that message, so it will be a few minutes while I compose it.

it sounds like it is very important for LDW to get the save game files so that this bug can be corrected.

so if it is OK with LDW, as an incentive to punkins to send in the save game files, i'll be happy to restore the appropriate gloves to the tool tray in the affected save game, and maybe even a varied item of punkin's or LadyCFII's choosing

Thanks, Borg. We have the savegame files and are working on the fix, which we will distribute as soon as we can. I'll leave it up to you and punkins whether or not to try to put the glove back into her savegame.
