VIRTUAL VILLAGERS PLATINUM PACK
(Intro)
Hi! I suggest after the releasation of Virtual Villagers 4, how about there is Virtual Villagers Isola Platinum

WHATS IN VIRTUAL VILLAGERS - ISOLA PLATINUM
Virtual Villagers Isola Platinum is a combination of VV1, VV2, VV3 and obviously VV4! Its a game with whole island of Isola, and we can choose which shore we want to play! The east-shore (VV1), the west shore (VV2), the north shore (VV3) or the south shore (VV4).

STRUCTURE
After we play, maybe we can right click to see the whole island with shore choice. If we click on shore of our choice, a certain Virtual Villagers game will appear. We can solve puzzles next-to-next version of VV!

HOPES
Hope everybody will accept my suggestions. But, i don't PUSH L.D.W to do this game smile

I think, there is also a benefit of that! people doesn't need to buy individual copy many times! First, they can play VV1. After they finished VV1 and they want to know the next mystery of Isola, they can play VV2. Then follows to VV3 and VV4.

I REALLY AGREE if Virtual Villagers Platinum Isola Pack's price is higher like $25.00 or $20.00. It has many benefits! It should be high price because you don't need to buy VV series many times!

But, trial is still must be individual, i think!

And also, if they never solve VV1 yet, they can't proceed to the next shore

Granted this would probably be a nightmare to program, but still...if it was like invalidthirteen suggests, where you had to play it in a linear fashion, I'd like to take some of the tribe from the previous game.

Example: in VV2 it says that two people went exploring. I think it'd be pretty neat if you started playing VV2 and got to pick the two villagers from your VV1 tribe

Thats why they are gonna come out with vv5 the final one, hopefully open up the middle island and find all the missing villagers from the other 4.Then at the end the whole island will be open and you can rome all of it.Sort of like 4 keys to open caves to the other 4vv parts of island. Also hope they have more things to use tech points for.....Just my suggestions..

LDW haven't announced a VV5; VV4 hasn't yet been released, even. They may have decided to end the series with VV4. On the other hand, they might go on to release a VV5, VV6, VV7...

I agree with arnie there may be no more VV games after VV4 but there might also be VV5,6, and 7 it might even go to ten but we dont know.

The most obvious problem I see with this suggestion, is that it would have to be released as a box set. It would contain way too much data for most internet connections to successfully download. Since LDW primarily markets through the internet, I don't see this happening any time soon.

invalidthirteen this is a GREAT idea laugh
would absolutely love to see this platinum pack happen, maybe to download it in separate partions is an option?

I hope LDW finds a way, they are a bunch of smart people so who knows?

Err... with the exception of the ability to click on a map of the island to open the relevant game, that's already available. The separate parts are called VV1, VV2, and VV3. wink VV4 is to come of course.

yes I know it's a very wild and tremendously ambitious guess, least I'm not talking spaceshuttles here ... laugh

and most of us already own all those VV's and the minute VV4 comes out it will be added immediately ofcourse ... but maybe in this platinum pack there is a little file that could connect the games together? for instance the 'isola map-file'. This pack will come with a tutorial that exactly explains how you have to put all your VV's in one directory and install that platinum file also in the same spot?

Oh well it would be AWESOME, wouldn't it? grin

Hmm, as stated above, with enough space on your computer you can already have all the village games, and for some, run them all at the same time. whistle Wouldn't a map that allows you to select a single villager (or group of them) in exchange for another villager (or group) from one shore to another, be more exciting than just selecting which shore you want to play on? confused

That is a great idea, (hi happyplayer, arnie, etc, and others), also, perhaps they could include a bonus game(VVF)? just a thought. Also, perhaps they shouldn't be just as individual games, but like, after you get to the secret city, perhaps there could be like a spell that the chief can do to teleport some people back to vv1 or something.

A very good idea indeed.
(LDW, good luck with finishing VV4. I am going to pester my parents to buy it wink )

It would be soo neat when all those villagers where able to travel the entire island ... but this is just a dream I guess, there are a lot of adjustments need to be made and a lot of them are probably impossible to make, so for now I'm satisfied by patiently waiting for this brandnew VV4 grin

I like the platinum pack Idea... or we can just make DLC's where you can link every villager colony together

Wow! I never visit this thread about a months and i see wonderful responds! Thank you so much!

Well, i love both idea, a box contains Virtual Villagers series CD game, or like i suggest. In the game, we can click on the map and it will bring us to the location we have clicked on. In this suggestions, i suggested that there is a map with full island, with 4 shores (if VV4 is the last). Players must starts with VV1, and they must finish all of the puzzles in VV1 if they want to unlock the next shore, VV2, and they will know the next story is. After they unlocked all of the fourth shores, they can check back on the previous shore to see what is going on the previous shore.

If this thing were made by LDW, people can play Virtual Villagers neatly without keep buying the series. That's why i said, even a box with all four series of the game are fine. I understand the memory thing. But LDW are genius, we don't know what will happen next. However, to calculate the EXACT VALUE of all four series are (if a box with single series) would be $59.80 (im not sure). Maybe LDW could lowered the prices??

Whatever it is, thank you for responding smile. I love to read many suggestions and opinions from you guys

I've often wished that you could "finish" one game and then import your favorite characters into the next. Just a thought..... :-)

I had no idea why I wrote that... what I actually want to say is that if you own all 4 versions of VV, you should be able to get the platinum pack for free

Wow, that's such a good idea! Also, maybe a Platinum Edition might include different "skins", which would be like official mods, of the huts, bushes, and possibly different ethnicities for the tribes, so you can choose an African American, Asian, or Native American tribe.
