Is there any logic behind how you get to your magical plants?
I'm asking because I'm playing 5 different games...and one magical plant I have in only one game, and can't seem to find a combination in the other games to make it. I've been sticking to the features -- aureus and scandens, and trying to cross breed. Is it possible that I have to mix something else?

It's really more of a genetic puzzle based on mathematics, rather than appearance. For some plants there are dozens, if not more than 100 combinations that will produce the desired species; for others, only a handful. It's best to try not to think like a botanist in this game. If you get too frustrated, there are breeding guides in the Plant Tycoon guides section near the bottom of the forum list.

sounds like I should just keep trying combos I haven't tried before, and don't worry if they seem to make sense or not.
I'm hoping I won't have to use any guides to find the magicals....but I guess that wouldn't be so bad.
