Any news on plant tycoon getting to windows?, I know that you are working on village sim, ( which still hasn't come out on pocket pc yet!)Sorry I seem impatient, its just that well - I'm impatient!,I've gone through fish tycoon loads of times now, oh had an idea, how about a vet tycoon, training, building up clients, stating off as a small animal vet, moving up to safari vet .....

currently, village sim is coming to PC/Mac. However, once testing for it is done, LDW will start working on Plant Tycoon for Windows/Mac. Check on the status here: www.ldw.com/previews/index.html

This post is for the developers.

I'm also curious about when Plant Tycoon will come out. I understand that Village Sim (now Virtual Villagers) was originally slated to come out on PC/MACs in Spring. Well, it's summer now, and VV is in beta-testing now. I easily understand that you may have run into problems with programming.

I was wondering - since Plant Tycoon was originally slated to come out in the summer, is it going to come out in the fall instead now?

I guess the better question would be: Based on your experience with developing Fish Tycoon and Virtual Villagers, what season would Plant Tycoon be most likely to be released in?

Is it already summer? Oh dear.

We are excited to be making really signifcant technological improvements to Plant Tycoon for Windows/Mac. It is going to take a bit longer, but it will be worth it.

Was that sufficiently vague?

When we update the release estimate we will certainly inform everyone here first!

I am also definitely excited to see Plant Tycoon coming to Windows/Mac. In regards to Village Sim coming to Pocket PC, from a previous post that Carla made, the individual who did the programming for them for Pocket PC has left the company and so for now, Village Sim for Pocket PC has been shelved. At this point, Virtual Villager should be out sometime this summer (after beta testing is complete) and Plant Tycoon is currently slated for fall. Can't wait!!!

Big round of applause for all those who make these games possible - Arthur, Carla, Barbara (my apologies if I haven't mentioned someone that I should have).

*soft chuckle*

Yes, it's offically been summer for six days now, though summer's heat came to my area about four weeks ago.

And yes, that was vague enough!

Well, I'm looking forward to seeing Virtual Villager on PC soon and Plant Tycoon later this year.

I'm chomping at the bit for this one!

I've been back to playing it on my Pocket PC and just put up a tiny starter webpage for it. I may go ahead with a Pocket PC page while waiting for the Windows Version. Virtual Villagers if fun, but I love the challange of the Fish And Plant games! I've been playing Plant Tycoon for months and months, and am still so hooked I have a hard time putting it down some days!

When the Windows version is out .. I'm doomed to live at my computer!!!

We are not forgetting about Plant Tycoon, Julie! We had some technical difficulties with the plants, but now things seem to be going more smoothly. I will update you all, as soon as arthur gives me an update on our status.

Ohh, I don't like birds.. Once when I was little my baby-sitter had a bird fettish. When my mum came to pick me up I had birds sitting all over me and ever since then I haven't cared for the little buggers.....

We gamers are a demanding lot. Between the villagers and the Plants, we should be able to keep all the LDW game developers, designers and coders in work up to their ears from now till they themselves become game Elders. But they are soo worth the wait.

I have to agree Spirit Catcher, we are a demanding lot, never having enough games to appease our thirst for more!!! But when they have games as good as VV and Fish Tycoon it is hard waiting until the new ones are complete!!

Its LDW fault!.....They make games we cant resist!...We are hooked..destined to sit by our computers and wait, wringing out hands...muttering incoherrantly under our breath as we (sometimes 2X a day) check the previews section to see how far they have come on the next to be released game...............dont tell me you dont do the same, I know you all check that....more than once...:)

This isn't a reply, but I stand with Brandiann on this. I have been waiting for Plant Tycoon for eons it seems. The progress board indicates it hasn't made any (progress) since dirt and I want to know if this game is still in the works. I am a real fan of Fish Tycoon and I am really anxious to play Plant Tycoon. I am beginning to wonder if that will ever happen. Put new games on the back burner LDW and finish this one PLEASE!

It is going it is going. We are adding new features that we hope you all will enjoy very much, and this had slowed it down a bit. The plants will grow smoothly and realistically, we are adding more plant types, more shop objects and a bunch of new stuff I can't disclose of course. I will put more images out soon. \:\)

Yep Seeds they are Keza! Some look a little different from the ones in the Palm and PPC games. One even looks like a carrot! Or maybe that is because I skipped lunch. Hmmm

Looking at that picture, I noted a small error. You may be fixing it, or maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. Anyway, I thought that it was spelled P-O-L-L-E-N. But in the screen shot it's spelled P-O-L-L-I-N. Possible typo?

Yes, and that will be fixed. I've already corrected it in my version of the game, and it's in my notes to be fixed in Arthur's. \:D

That needs to be fixed. The art is not yet final, nor is the text font. But you can get the idea of the direction we are going! \:\)

Yeah.....

I even think that our earlier versions of plant tycoon for palm os shipped with that "pollin" typo. I also think it's my fault because in italian it's "polline" and i thought the english spelling was "pollin". I obviously hadn't checked on a dictionary... very bad of me.

It all looks so neat! Awesome job on the art so far, guys! (Except for the font typo on the cash bit and the pollen misspell, but hey, easy fixes there.)

Arthur, only cactuses really grow ssslllloooowwwwwllllyyyy. Other's usualy grow in a few days, depending on what the type of plant is, and how much of it's food, sunlight and water it gets.

I too am wondering how long the beta testing will take, I know it's until the game has the bugs worked out and they probably won't release a 'for sure' date of release...*but* I also know they probably have a 'hope for' date....

Did you find any magic plants yet??

The game is great so far!

I love the challenge of the _bug_ collecting. You actually have to sneak up on the bugs or they will see you and run away!

Haven't found any magic plants yet. I'm on my 6th generation of plants so far. I can't wait to get one of them!

I'm very pleased with this game.

BFG sent out an email this morning (check your spam filters) announcing the game's trial. It wasnt clear from the email that you could purchase the full version right away.

They did send out a second email saying some people were having trouble purchasing it for some reason, but it's easily fixable. I had no issues myself.

If you opted out of BFG's emails, then you wouldn't get one. I'm careful to opt in at least one (i.e. newsletter or something) so that I know what's going on. That could be your problem. Arthur has made a thread here for downloading PT:
