Under what circumstances would you need to hit your pet? what is it when he/she sort of hisses at me?

You should only hit your pet when s/he is doing something that you don't like. For example, playing with the poop comes to mind....eeewwww! I usually prefer to reward my pet for doing the things I like and ignore everything else. As for the poop, I clean it up as soon as it hits the ground, so my playful little pet can't play with it!

Cool thanks for that. Any idea what he's doing when he sort of hisses at me?

I think that's open to debate. Since it's a "generic" pet, its verbalizations aren't as clearly understood as a bark or meow would be. I choose to believe that my pet is asking for attention or a different toy to play with. It seems to work well for my pet and hasn't caused any problems. Ignorance is bliss!

I have spoiled my pet rotten! I can't hit him/her ever. I also clean up the poop immediately and try to coax him to play with a toy when he is sitting on his food bowl! I have decided that the hissing is his way of asking for attention so I comb him. I'm no longer sure who has trained who.

Why is my pet upset all the time? I leave the palm on the charger for hours so he can play, and the upset sign never goes away. I comb, I feed, I clean, I feed energy drink, but nada! Upset, upset. So, is this a glitch in the program? This is my third pet; the other two didn't do this.

Little Palm Pet is one of the games that I never leave running all of the time (unlike Village Sim), and I've never had a problem with a cranky pet. If I return to the game and my pet is upset, a little TLC is all it takes to make it happy again. Why don't you try giving your pet some time "alone" (as in exit the game for a few hours) and see if that helps?

When you say you never leave it running all the time, do you mean - for example, if you play with him/check on him in the morning and don't intend to play with him until the evening, you then turn it off for the day? Thanks.

Yes, that's what I do, although I usually don't let that many hours pass without checking on my pets (I have 3 pets on 3 different devices right now)! I normally only launch the game to check on them and play with them every 2-3 hours, except for overnight. I play with them until they're tired and go to sleep, then I exit the game, sometimes to run other applications and sometimes just turn it off. I hope that helps clear things up!

Yes, very helpful, thanks. (I hadn't thought about turning it off overnight.)
I'll be going camping for a couple of days and since I don't think he's into camping, I'll turn it off during that time. Thanks!

If you're not going to be checking on your pet during that time, you should make sure to "stable" him so that he is cared for while you're gone!

Hadn't you better stable him when you go camping? He'll be dead, won't he, when you get back?

Yes, I will. I was going to take him with me but I think now I will leave him home "stabilized" so he will be cared for and I won't have to worry about checking on him. Thanks!

I will. He's been with me for awhile and I wouldn't want to lose him that way. Thanks!

I had a pet that was upset all the time after I stabled him over a weekend. He didn't act upset though, and lived another 30 or so 'years' after that, but the status never changed from upset unless he was sick.
