Why doesn't he eat that mouse?

It's not in his programming!

What good is it, then? Is it a playmate?

You might call it that! You wouldn't want your pet to get bored, would you? The bone and the ducky don't give your pet much exercise, but the mouse does!

Well, that's a fact. In fact, I can count on him getting tired and going to sleep after a bit of mouse play. It's really funny to watch.

It is funny! The mouse is great for when you don't have a lot of time to spend with your pet and you want to tire him out quickly!

Yes! That is when I use the mouse. I always feel better when I leave the game with the little guy sleeping. So the mouse is a fast way to get him to go to sleep.

My pet prefers the duck to the mouse. He watches the mouse and chases it a little, but he prances up to that duck, makes a funny noise, snarls (showing teeth!), grabs the duck and often throws it! It is so funny to watch!

Different pets seem to favor different toys. I had one pet that didn't like any of the toys for a long time. Finally, with some TLC I was able to get him to play with them.

How cute. I'd like my puppy to do that with the duck. My puppy picks up the duck and sometimes walks or runs with it, - then stops. I love that. But I can't seem to get him to travel with it all the time, even with positive reinforcement (combing). Oh well.
