Creepy-crawlies: by DW. I believe that the bugs listed below do not need special foliage or flowers to emerge in the green house of Plant Tycoon. This is because I was able to catch all these bugs without any tier 2, 3 or 4 seeds (either foliage or flower). Each Common insect, be it beetle, dragonfly, spider or butterfly that you catch for the second time will give you Five dollars (bucks, Pounds, Yen, or Euro). Using Algorithm's insect chart and sfrose's numbering scheme. These are the common bugs as numbered: 1. Common Blue Butterfly 2. Common Mission Blue Butterfly 4. Common Black Moth 13. Common Green Beetle 14. Common Brown _bug_ 15. Common Ladybug 16. Common Shiny Blue Beetle 25. Common Blue Dragonfly 26. Common Pink Dragonfly 27. Common Tiger Dragonfly 28. Common Emerald Dragonfly 38. Common Yellow Spider 39. Common Brown Spider 40. Common Spotted Spider

These next insects need a special flowers and/or foliage: 3. Common Fern Butterfly The common Fern butterfly, which is worth only five dollars after your first catch, comes out to any fern in your green house. I have caught this butterfly many times, but only when a tier 2 foliage Fern was out.

I know these are out of order, but I feel you all would like to know what I'm finding when I find it. 34. Rare Black Dragonfly I believe that this Dragonfly, which is worth forty dollars after your first catch, can be seen with a Venomous plant. I have caught this Dragonfly while my tier 1 Venomous plants where out at different times. Venomous is a tier 2 flower. 37. Common Cactus Spider This common Cactus spider worth only five dollars after your first catch; can be seen with any tier 2 Pipe Cacti foliage. I was able to catch this spider with only four pipe cacti out, and I know them to be only tier 1 flowers.

Can it be entirely true that what's in the jar is what the _bug_ comes out to? The Rare Golden Spider has some tigerfern foliage in its jar, but it never came out for me until I had a number of ridgeballs, never with any of the tigerferns.

20. Uncommon Mystic Scarab This Mystic Scarab gives you twenty dollars after your first catch; the tier 3 flower called Mystic brings it out. I was able to catch this scarab while five tier 1 foliage and four tier 2 foliage was out with the Tier 3 flower called, (yes that's right) Mystic. I would also like to thank Kasey323.ink, a.k.a. Charley as well for his help. 36. Rare Golden Dragonfly This golden Dragonfly, which is worth forty dollar after your first catch, can be seen with the tier 3 flower known as Blazing. I was able to catch it while five tier 1 foliage and four tier 2 foliage was out. Again I wish to give the credit to Kasey323.ink, a.k.a. Charley, for sending me his insect chart, Thanks.

24. Rare Golden Beetle This rare beetle is worth forty dollars after your first catch. I have found this golden beetle like the golden foliage of the tier 3 Ananas. I was able to miss and then catch one. I had only tier 1 flowers; they had not even bloomed. 43. Uncommon Bamboo Spider This spider is worth twenty dollars after your first catch. This red looking spider is known as a Bamboo spider and why you may ask? Yes that's right it comes out to the Bamboo foliage, which is a Tier 3. This info is thanks to Kasey323.ink, a.k.a. Charley. Thanks again.

I am trying to get #48 and #32 - and I don't know what to plant to lure them in. I have everything else - apparently that's the rare golden spider and the uncommon glassy dragonfly. Can anyone give me some pointers? Please?

47. Rare Tahitian Spider The rare Tahitian spider is worth forty dollars after your first catch. As the named of this spider is Tahitian, it needs that flower to appear in your green house. The Tahitian is a Tier 4 flower that can either be bought at the supply store or mutated. Only Two More To Go

32. Uncommon Glassy Dragonfly I have finally caught an uncommon Glassy Dragonfly. The second one will now be worth twenty dollars. This dragonfly, I have been told by many people comes out to the tier 4 foliage Multiflora and this is true. I would like to thank Kasey323.ink (Yes, Charley again) and also Funkiroller too. One more to go.

I believe that the last one you are missing, the Golden Spider, comes out for Ridgeballs.

48. Rare Golden Spider This is the last spider that anybody can catch, (unless you have already seen a tier 4 Ridgeball). It is now worth forty dollars. I have been told by sfrose, Funkiroller and Kasey323.ink (Charley) that this spider was brought out by the tier 4 Ridgeball and this is the right information. You should have seen this come up when you caught your last insect. Your nursery should also have an added object, like this. The last thing is your collectable insect area should now be full to match this picture from both Kasey323.ink and Ip7p. Thanks for sticking around everyone

I believe most people the Jet Moth came out to a NOX I just caught that one! It's my 47th - one more to go! A couple of minutes later a second one appeared. It's like waiting for a bus - wait for ages then two come along together. I had a Nox in flower, but no Violas.

Hi all! Well, the following two insects, common Shiny Blue Beetle, and common Tiger Dragonfly do not appear, ever, at all, period, when there are 15 empty pots, which leads me to believe that they require a special plant or foliage to be present for them to appear. i would guess the common Tiger Dragonfly requires a Tigerfern but I do not have any proof of this. not being a common shiny blue beetle myself, i do not have any guesses as to what flower or foliage a common shiny blue beetle would find appealing. so Deathwing - your work so far on this project has been exemplary, but your job is not 100% done as you may have thought.. you have two more to go I'm "rooting" for you Cheers, -Borg

The common Tiger Dragonfly has a Tigerfern leaf in its collection bottle, so I'd hazard a guess that it likes Tigerferns. The common Shiny Blue Beetle has a different leaf in its bottle, but I can't be sure what particular variety of foliage it is. It looks similar to that in the rare Shiny Flower Beetle's bottle. Those with better eyesight may be able to identify it.

8 hours of collecting data on 15 spotted tigerferns: B ug # 1 Seen: 19 (6 %) common Blue Butterfly B ug # 2 Seen: 26 (8 %) common Mission Blue Butterfly B ug # 4 Seen: 17 (5 %) common Black Moth B ug # 5 Seen: 4 (1 %) uncommon Pale Moth B ug # 6 Seen: 3 (1 %) uncommon Lapis Butterfly B ug # 7 Seen: 6 (2 %) uncommon Lemon Moth B ug # 9 Seen: 5 (2 %) rare Plum Butterfly B ug #10 Seen: 4 (1 %) rare Cherry Butterfly B ug #13 Seen: 25 (8 %) common Green Beetle B ug #14 Seen: 17 (5 %) common Brown B ug B ug #15 Seen: 19 (6 %) common Ladybug B ug #17 Seen: 4 (1 %) uncommon Hiding Beetle B ug #18 Seen: 4 (1 %) uncommon Zebra Beetle B ug #19 Seen: 7 (2 %) uncommon Cockroach B ug #21 Seen: 2 (1 %) rare Ebony Scarab B ug #22 Seen: 6 (2 %) rare Fire Scarab B ug #25 Seen: 20 (6 %) common Blue Dragonfly B ug #26 Seen: 17 (5 %) common Pink Dragonfly B ug #28 Seen: 14 (4 %) common Emerald Dragonfly B ug #29 Seen: 3 (1 %) uncommon Dart Dragonfly B ug #30 Seen: 5 (2 %) uncommon Fragile Dragonfly B ug #31 Seen: 5 (2 %) uncommon Ghost Dragonfly B ug #33 Seen: 5 (2 %) rare Fire Dragonfly B ug #35 Seen: 7 (2 %) rare Earth Dragonfly B ug #38 Seen: 18 (6 %) common Yellow Spider B ug #39 Seen: 26 (8 %) common Brown Spider B ug #40 Seen: 15 (5 %) common Spotted Spider B ug #41 Seen: 3 (1 %) uncommon Pearly Spider B ug #42 Seen: 2 (1 %) uncommon Limelike Spider B ug #44 Seen: 4 (1 %) uncommon Cricket Spider B ug #45 Seen: 3 (1 %) rare Bumpy Spider B ug #46 Seen: 1 (0 %) rare Jade Spider B ug number 27, the common Tiger Dragonfly, is conspicuously absent. One thought is that it is attracted to Tigerferns but needs a higher tier of flower than spotted. A better guess is that it is not attracted to Tigerferns, since DW reports always collecting this insect in new games, well before tier 4 is ever reached. No progress on the common shiny blue beetle either. So basically, no progress So it still remains a mystery. addendum: with the following group of starter plants: spotted reptans bluestar maranta citrus maranta citrus maple citrus astera fourpetal ball cactus citrus ball cactus spotted ball cactus jalapa ball cactus both the common shiny blue beetle and the common Tiger Dragonfly made an appearance. just have to figure out which foliage or flower is responsible.

your red pots are crooked. i would complain with 3 spotted reptans on the screen, virtual B ug Collector has logged 48 total bugs/22 different species of b ug in the last few hours, and none of them were the blue or tiger variety we seek. I'll come back in a couple hours and swap the spotted reptans for something else and see what happens I've got the b ug collector monitoring the bugs, the gardener watering the plants, and the seed tray/charts organizing the seeds and providing all the breeding information. if this keeps up the game will be able to play itself without me Cheers, Borg PS Jalapa Ball Cactus makes common shiny blue beetles appear. not sure if it is the jalapa or the ball cactus though.

Congratulations indeed. This post has been so helpful to me.
I had never even seen a glassy dragonfly, amber butterfly or rare shiny flower beetle. The beetle gave me the most trouble, even after putting out 9 orchids it didn't appear. But I kept up with the orchids and eventually it did. I had aureus, nox, jalapa, blazing - all in bloom, and a rosaceae orchid on the way which hadn't flowered when the beetle finally appeared.

I think in one of my 'starting' games, an Amber butterfly came out, WITHOUT Aureus flowers available. I'm not too sure, since it was some time ago. It came to some Maranta leaves, I think.
