I'm walking around, cleaning up my town like I do every day when I come accross this floating Apple. Check out the image link I've attached:



This has got to be a glitch of some sort! I can't approach it, I walk right through it. I can't pick it up because it's like it doesn't know it's there. What in the world!?

I'll bet you have an apple tree inside your Botanical Garden, just outside the view of your screenshot. The floating apple will be gone tomorrow and doesn't seem to affect the game.

I've noticed that when this happens very occasionally I will find an apple in some random place (such as on the beach, or in the middle of the southern marsh). I'll be able to pick that one up. Anyway, I contacted support about this when it happened, so they know about it.

Thank you @Aviatrix that particular Apple was gone this morning but there was another one near another tree in another location. I have not found any random apples on the ground anywhere yet though. I'll keep my eye open for those.

I've probably seen dozens of those floating apples but only three of the random apples in weird places.

What about holes that are visibly there but yet I can't fill them? Anyone else see that?

Yes, dig them again and then fill them. How about holes that are there but when you try to plant something it says "You must be near a hole"?

I have re-dug/re-filled that hole a half dozen times and it hasn't disappeared yet.

Yes I've had a few of those "you must be near a hole" holes too. I planted a flower in them and they look weird. You can see the flower planted but there's this weird open hole under it instead of a mound of dirt like normal.

Wow, mine always filled after re-digging. Well, maybe you'll get a trapdoor spider out of it. They only come out of holes.

This is happening to me now as well. I have a space that no matter how many times I've dug & filled the hole, when I try to plant something there, it says 'you must be near a hole'. There's a hole right there!
