I think I either saw wrong or my guys day trader salary went down when he got a promotion. It was at 210 for lvl one and now its at 120 for lvl 2.

That's pretty normal, and it was also that way in the original Virtual Families

I also selected a day trader. The salary went up and down thru the various career levels, but at level 7 was one of my highest paying salaries I've seen. Alas my person died before completing the level to acheive Master. It actually was not too bad because it started out as a good salary. When it went down for level two my spouse was earning more.
