I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I certaintly don't understand the logic of this:

I have the fish of curing in tanks 1 &2, the seahorse in tank 1 and both food and environment levels researched.

I left the game alone for 12 hours and come back and many fish in tanks 1 & 2 are sick....but the sale tank, where there's no fish of curing or seahorse, they are all fine. And all tanks have the same amount of fish in them...I don't get it.

I personally think that part of the brilliance of FT is the fishies are alot like real fish. You can't always pin point what makes real fish sick!

plus, when you have a sick fish in a tank, it seems like it's more likely for the other fish to get sick. After 12 hours with a sick fish in the tank, it's no wonder there were probably a lot of sick ones in there. The same is true with dead fish. If you leave them in there too long, I think that the others get sick faster.

I've found that if you have sick fish, either try to cure them straight away or move them away from healthy fish. Also try clearing a tank out that had sick fish in it and put food in and leave for a few hours. May be all in the mind but it works for me.

Well, it's happened again...

it's not that my fish are getting sick that I'm wondering about...it's the fact that 1. I play the game when I come home from work for a few hours, and then leave it alone until the next evening...so they're being left alone for 12 hours, w/ the game on double time.. even still it's not THAT much time AND I have food researched, so they aren't starving in the meantime.

2. I normally seperate sick fish into one tank to prevent others from getting sick, but like I said, I'm coming home, on a daily basis now, and finding sick fish...yet when it's the weekend and I keep an eye on it, and play the game on/off for several hours at a time, no one gets sick. Ever.

3. This time, I had the fish of curing, the plant of curing AND a seahorse in a tank....and not only did i get fungus and ick, but the fish of curing got sick!!

I guess it's the third part that really bothers me. Why did I waste the money on the plant, and the searhorse, and bother keeping the extra fish around when they aren't doing any good.

I mean, if I can't leave the game for, really less then 12 hours without chaos, it's not the much fun, but more frustrating.

here's a secret: stop time while you're at work, then, when you come home, advance your computer's clock some hours, then advance it back. Same effect. Your fish age.

egustafson has a great point, about stoping time. I go to work all day, and play in the evening when i come home, and i switch over to 1/2 time, and i find my fish are adults when i come home, and none of them are sick. So i think u should try 1/2 speed b4 u go to work, that works well for me.
