For some reason I can't find any save game files for Fish Tycoon (windows version). Support FAQ says they should be in the program files folder (within the main FT folder, which I have no trouble finding), but I can't see anything of that kind in there. I'm on 64-bit W7 in case that matters. Did a search too, but that didn't point to any such files elsewhere either.

My game is working properly, so I'm not having any saving issues or anything. I simply want to make a backup so I won't lose my progress if something happens.

Hello Wolly. Take a peek in the My Documents folder, specifically \My Documents\LDW\Fish Tycoon. The savegame files are named Fish Tycoon*.ldw, where * is a number corresponding to the player slot. There is also a backup savegame file for each game slot, which are named Fish Tycoon21.ldw through Fish Tycoon25.ldw, depending on how many player slots are in use. smile

Thanks for your reply, MissKathy. However, there is no LDW or Fish Tycoon folder in My Documents, already looked there. Also no files anywhere on my computer of the .ldw type, or named fish and/or tycoon (relating to the game anyway). My settings are to not hide any files so that's not the problem either. That's why I'm confused. smile

I'm wondering though, if the problem might be that I first used a trial from somewhere else? I uninstalled it and ran CCleaner before installing the full version I bought directly from LDW a week or so ago, but thinking back I can't remember for sure if I actually got to start over or continued the same game.

I found the files, finally. My saves seem to end up in a subfolder of user/Appdata/Local which W7 for some reason refuse to include in searches.
