I know I had one, and then I tried to change it. It didn't work, I'm just getting the red x. It was in the sizes set out, and the right format, but I've tried a few and none work. I looked in FAQ but didn't see an answer, thanks!

How large is the file you're trying to upload?

I have been having the same problem. Since it appears to be needed info: my file is 1.28 KB.

I went in to the server innards and checked, and it turns out that was another 'casualty' of the forum crash in January. I've fixed it up, and avatar uploads should work again as long as they fit the size and type requirements.
