There was originally a chair outside the house near the sandbox in an early version of the game (it can be seen in the video) but it seems to have been removed by the time the game was released. The video is in this announcement.

An image of the chair in both broken and a restored states still remains in the image files, so it must have been used in a puzzle to repair the chair that was removed.

I've often thought that area looked a little bare, so I've added the chair back. This mod is to Lewanda's Burgundy Office so it won't fit with the original files or other mods.
