We have one family who has a 5th generation, with lots of
updates on the house. Eva is now 48 and has not had any proposals or orphans show up at her door.

Will the game end when she dies?

She is happy, in good health and well fed, her energy is generally high, but in the middle right now, but it has gone up when she takes a nap or goes to bed.

Is there anyway to help her ensure that there will be someone to pass the house onto?

We have 4 other families and haven't encountered this, but Eva is the only one on the 5th generation.

Mac user 1.00.02 (waiting for the email with the new version)

You might want to pause that game, and possibly back up your savegame files, so that you have some options. You may have encountered a bug that affects versions earlier than 1.00.04, and it would be a shame to have a family ended in the fifth generation. The new Mac version will be available very soon, at which point you can resume play and hopefully get at least one heir.

To back up your savegame files, just follow the procedure in this post. Good luck. smile

How many generations can you have?

Nothing was successful for Eva and I had to restart the game. Our other families are in their second or third generations, and hopefully this was just a once in a (virtual) lifetime experience.

I'm sorry to hear that. I had hoped that the update would rescue them, but it appears that the updates are not as effective at 'retroactively' correcting games already in progress as we had hoped.
