Have you tried resetting or restarting your device? You can find the procedure in your device's user's guide or here in our Support FAQ.

We are investigating reports of a higher frequency of crashes on iPhone OS 3.0, but we haven't been able to reproduce the issue on our test devices yet.

I'm running iPhone 3.0, and I've had troubles with both the lite and regular versions of VV2 as well as Virtual Families Lite (don't have the full version yet).

Rebooting fixes it, but I'm rebooting it at least 2-3x a day, since I often go in and check on my little people throughout the day at work on my breaks. It gets really annoying, especially as it turns a quick check into something that takes a lot longer.

ETA: Here are some more details that might help with debugging:

iPhone 3G 16GB
Latest firmware 3.0.1
Latest carrier settings (O2 in the UK) - don't know if this makes a difference
9 pages of apps, 9th page not filled (yet)

I had no troubles with Fish Tycoon, but I haven't played it since I upgraded to 3.0.

Yes, I've got the same iPhone as above (lilitu93), except not in the UK... i'm in SF, CA. I'm also having to reboot 2-3x a day if not more. and sometimes i have to reboot because everything (without VV2 running) is working reeeally slowly. this never happened before loading VV2. Same again as above, no problems with Fish Tycoon (*have* played FT since upgrading to 3.0).

love the game otherwise. have finished everything except the collections now (just this evening).

Is this issue going to be fixed any time soon? I have a Gen 2 16gb itouch with the 3.0 os. I downloaded this game 2 days ago and absolutely love it but am getting very tired of rebooting my itouch because of this problem. What I have found is that this issue usually is because I have gone from the game to the home page to do a new application and then returned to the game. Upon returning to the game, the screen opens with your company logo "Last day at work" and then it freezes and spits me out to my apps page. I can't get back into the application without rebooting my itouch.

Does anyone know if the game is compatible with the Droid phone. I am new to the phone technologies but love the LDW games. Thank you for any information

The Droid phones use the Android operating system, which is not compatible with iPhone OS applications.
