Not sure if this has been mentioned before and I am not sure even if this is an actual _bug_ but several times when I want two of my villagers to have a baby the baby will suddenly appear in the mothers arms before they even go into the little shack? Is this normal? I hope this is in the right spot if not I apologies.

Yes, it is normal. If you watch your population, you may see it go up as soon as the villagers kiss.

The game is designed to include the trip into the hut, but the "outcome" is already determined at the moment of kissing. If the villagers are not interrupted the baby will appear after emerging from the hut. Many, if not most, people don't want to wait the extra time, so they don't allow the trip in order to make things happen faster. \:\)

I feel it is a _bug_ as well. Especially when you DON'T want them to make babies, you have set their skill to either research or farming, but they insist on getting together. The minute I hear the kiss, it's too late. If I click the female, a baby instantly appears in her arms. I found that if you move the male, then throw a kid in front of the female, there's a 50/50 chance that it will dissuade the baby-making and she will run away. Because of this 'flaw', my village got bigger than there was enough food for and people began to die. Very frustrating.

The villagers will do what you teach them how to do. Teach them to fish or research or build, and they will do that. Teach them to breed, and they will do that. It's how the game is designed. The best way to keep the population under control is to make sure that you don't create a skilled breeder. \:\)

I hardly breed at all before I have a stable food source. If I do, I drag the female on to the male, so the female gains skill, that way, I don't end up with a male breeder.
