I have a female who is 67 yrs. old....(most of my villagers have not lived beyond 66 yrs.)
She has been a builder her whole life, but she has not advanced beyond Adept....
Could this be a glitch?
I have not had a Master Builder yet in this game...
I need HELP!

In Addition to this, I'd like to know what the oldest Villager each of you have/or had...
Like I said previouly 67 is my oldest to date...She is still alive for now...

It's entirely possible to have a villager who doesn't achieve master builder status during their lifetime - especially females who may also have spent a fair amount of time as nursing moms. If you have a lot of villagers working on construction projects, each of them will gain less skill than if you had only a few builders.

For the oldest villager topic, you can look here. There are other discussions, too, but that one is the most extensive.

I think that female has only had one child...So she hadn't really taken much time off.
I did assigned one of the younger males to apprentice (His fate was sealed at age 5)
AT age 27, He is now an Adept builder, He has as much experience as she does! But still no master builders

Also, Thanks for the info on the oldest! Congrads on your Oldest of 97!

It does take longer to become a master builder (or a master doctor or parent, for that matter) because there just aren't as many opportunities for them to gain skills. The researchers and farmers are working constantly and typically become masters much more quickly.

My 97-year-old was just one that I happened to capture at the time of that discussion. Others have had villagers older than mine!

Well My Elderly Female Builder, Chira, Died just a moment ago at the ripe old age of 70. Never to reach her goal of becoming a Master Builder, she died an Adept Builder...

The Villagers are very sad over this loss, as Chira was the last of the "Wise Ones" who established this small slice of paradise as their home. (I have to admit, this is not the first villager I have lost, I have buried 5 villagers now, her included)
I was bummed out with the others, But for some reason losing her has me very sad!

I also wanted to comment that I think I have realized why I love this world so much! There are NO POLITICS!
No bureaucracy! No War, No Fights, except, of course, that fight my villagers keep insisting on having with that Blasted Boulder! But I don't think that really counts....

Somewhere during the restoration of the temple I noticed that i had 20 or 30K in food points so I unchecked the farmers, breeders, and healers and made everyone a builder or researcher. I think the builders get good at building fast if they are already adept or masters at something else. By the time I needed a Master Builder I had 7 and about 5 adept builders. They dug that treasure fast!

Do builders gain experience by watering the magic field before it blooms?
