It shows how many minutes are left before your baby turns into a 2-year-old child running amok.

I wonder why it takes so long after zero for it to happen.

I think that it rounds down the minutes to multiples of 3... So after it says 0, you need to wait 3 more minutes. (I think.)

I was afraid it was just me! The Details screen shows me zero minutes but the mom is still holding the baby and won't do any other work!

Yeah -- that delay is a bit distracting .

Keep in mind that there is also an issue with nursing moms who've "drunk from the Fountain of Youth" -- if your mom ingested some liquid or berries that made her young again, she will nurse until she ages back to the age she was when she was affected.

So if your 53 year old villager ate berries and became 12 again, once she had a baby, she would nurse until she was 53 again -- nursing timers be darned in this case.

After I noticed the delay from hitting zero to the time the mama put the baby down, I timed it the next time...it was nearly 20 minutes when she still put down that kid. Grrrr. Don't they know we have work for them to do??? ;-)

Of course they do. I have one villager, who every time I plonk her down somewhere and try and teach her a new skill makes a prompt beeline for the breeding hut so she can wander around caring for her baby instead. She now has 7 children lol.

Check her details and see if breeding is checked. That would definitely cause her to breed every time.
