i hate working so hard to get a villager master in three skills (specially the adept docs who suddenly get to lollygag around while the rest work so hard, have found if you even train them in one other thing they up n take enough r&r that you would think they r eccentric billionaires and don't have to learn anymore...that includes the one s'psd to liking herbs and/or meds) then they are so old they end up being buried. there seems to be a lot that can be improved.
1)Less point struggle from level one to level two. reminds me of gas prices sudden jump. bad for biz.
2)Villagers learning levels should be more equal. who the heck would ever have so many scientists on an island? grew up with 'gilligan's island' and i only recall 1 professor there.
3)the villagers need more food sources at the get go. vv2...what r the berries in front of the gong poisoness??? and the kids should auto pic up the dang mushrooms. i prefer working on the collections which r more interesting. at 53 (my age) i hate picking up the kids and draggin em all over 4 mushrooms. what kids do u all know that prefer them anyhow? being a kid once(i was ya know) i liked the cool stuff, broken glass, butterflies, shells, pebbles...yep even bugs n such)
4)i seem to do more work than the villagers. ie: i get a master scientist to put him/her to another job to get their esteemed elder stuff and even though i work with them a lot to get them going on a new skill they walk off to their prefered skill. same for all of them except the dang docs who prefer laundry, pond and lord they always eat!!!
5)okay...big deal on the sewing hut. that's what a survivor really wants, which can be attained early in the game. probably why they die so quick before they can manage to gain elder. (yes, i have completed the game several times already)
Things you look for to survive: food, shelter, weapons for attacks from animals, people et al. You don't think "oh, i need a new outfit" first. Only in Hollywood, perhaps...or where rich folk reside.
6) hunting supplies. there's enough dang birds for heavens sake. doubt if they are hungry enough they won't consider parrot for dinner...lol
7) all 2nd level tech should be lowered for points to get the game really going at a resonable level. why make it so nearly impossible for them to aquire needed points? course i complained about that already...lol
8)it would be ever so nice if they looked less like one parent as opposed to both. aside from the hair, which is dumb in some cases...like helmut aka coconut head and princess leia...it starts getting confusing. especially with triplets. only moms n dads would dress their kids identical, thus no individuality much. i know personally twins and triplets who prefer their own style more than ones that love the 'game' of being identical.
9)elders are esteemed??? okay. kill the grey.
10) more huts. if u have a population of 90+ crammed into less than a handful of huts you would have a concentration camp or tenement. especially as these huts only have doors. think disease here people, fighting et al.
Course, I realize the programming costs and all for accomplishing much of this, but I think VV3 should in order for a continuation of the series improve on at least some of these things. Builders need to be able to make the huts bigger to gain their skills to become masters. Ya can't become a master if you can only fix continually huts already made.

I think others have said this before, but I'll put it down again just incase.
It would be really nice if the mom's and dad's could trade off between the baby. The mom could go back and train for a bit, then the dad, and so on. Or, even better. Once you have a Master Parent, build a nursery so that both parents could work while the kid is under supervision (a new way for villagers to gain parenting skills?)
That, and maybe having more things kids can do. Like, instead of just watching the scientists, going and getting materials for them. Getting sticks for builders or playing with a baby for a parent.

In reference to the farmers being a little inefficient, maybe we could have a sub-menu to check off - so we could assign them specifically to harvesting coconuts, crops, fishing, etc.
I would also like to see a way to select multiple villagers, say by right clicking and dragging a box of them. Then, you could pick up the whole town and dump them in the ocean, or wherever.
I agree with previous statements about making moms/kids more useful.
