OK, so I don't want any hints (yet), but I just had a disaster, and want to know if there is any point in continuing.

What happened: With 9 puzzles solved, and getting close to Level 3 Science tech, I had an Island Event go south on me and I lost ~ 2/3 of my tech points. Well, Drat & Phooey! (or words to that effect). But I'm getting the idea from the forum that I may need a Master Builder to finish, and while I have several Extremely Adept Builders, only one Master, and she's 65, which is to say, by the time I get Science 3, (which I assume I'll need to unlock the next puzzle) she'll be dead.

So, should I punt, or can my others make Master in time, or is this just a wrong idea I have?

I am not sure exactly which if the higher techs you need to solve the puzzle requiring your master builder.....but I think you may be lucky enough to be able to solve it even now.....with a little nudge in the right direction. WIth a 65 yo builder, she should last a few more years anyway, assuming you manage to keep her healthy

You won't believe what happened to me. I realized I needed Master builders to solve puzzle number 11. I didn't have any builders left and nothing to build to make more. But my strategy was not to start over, merely to wait until more debris washed up on the beach.

Persistence paid off and eventually more debris washed up. I immediately took two young adults and forced them to become builders.

I was sad that there was only enough debris to build two adept builders. Anyways, I made the two adept builders and just left it at that.

I just checked and noticed that puzzle number 11 was solved. I have no idea how. One of my adept builders is missing and presumed dead. The other is now 67 years old. I can only assume the dead builder became a master builder by fixing huts and solved the puzzle without any intervention from me.

Now if I could only solve puzzle number 12!@#$$%$!

Puzzle 12 is the puzzle that you need the master builder for.

i also lost more than 100k of tech points to one island event but i still continued my game. eventually i earned enough to buy level3 science. i think do not need a master builder anymore since only puzzle 10&11 needs to be solved. they are still not yet finished with puzzle 12 so i can still train my builders.

I had the same problem. Everything done but puzzle 12 with no master builders left. Found out that it takes at least two debris events to make a master builder. Plus other skills as well. You can PM Ladycfii for more info.

Well, here I am again. Huata, my Master Builder, died at 70, the villagers clawed there way back to Science 3 anyway, puzzles 10 & 11 are done (11 is Cool & Scary--tsunami??). But I don't have a Master Builder (unless you count little #10); however, I do have a couple of Adepts who are just a pixel or two shy of master level, so we'll just work for Medicine 3 and hope for more flotsam...
