Whenever I enter my nox pear cactus into the sheet, it errors on me and asks if I want to de-_bug_. I assume it means de-_bug_ the macros, but I don't dare, LOL! Anyone else had a problem with it? I am using it in compatibility mode because I have a newer version of Excel - I have to tell it to enable the macros each time I open up the file for the day - is that part of the issue?

Thanks for any help. I LOVE the sheet and am desperately trying to get the last two magic plants by using it! \:\)

I just looked at my sheet and I have it added with no problems, so I'm not sure Penn.

delete the file and download it again from the guide section. if that does not fix the problem, i will investigate it some more. \:\)

i created it with Excel 2000 on a 5+ year old computer and I suppose the problem could be that I am using such an old version. I don't have access to a newer computer or version of excel though to try to fix it on. If one comes along and bites me I will upgrade things \:\) thank you for the bug reports.

I'm running Excel 2000 too. I've downloaded the file (three times now) and each time it loads nicely, and I can key in or select plant names, but when I click on the pivot table I get the message that it's causing problems and it closes Excel. I can't think what to try next.

I think there are two different Excel files being discussed here. Borg's uses VBA, while 5p1d3r's uses a Pivot Table. If it's the Pivot Table that everyone is having trouble with, Borg can't fix that for you. \:\)

I am using excel 2007 and I got the same error as Penn32.

First I click the plant then on "end" then "Add plant" then "end" again. It take some time but it work.
But it would be nice if it can be fixed

It seems that when I have a lot of plants on the left side of the grid and then add something on the right side (like a nox pear cactus, for example), it blows a gasket trying to figure out all of the really remote combinations. Sometimes it goes through anyway and sometimes not, but as long as I get the simpler combos laid out for me, I'm fine. LOVE the sheet! \:D

I LOVE this sheet.
Now that I understand it, I can't wait to upgrade my soil and water so that the really good combinations don't die on me!!

You can find the free Excel Viewer on Microsoft's Web site here. You might also find sfrose's explanation in this post helpful. \:\)

OK, I was doing awesome with the breeder! I LOVE it! Thanks BORG!
Now here is the but:
When I try to add the Jalapa Ridge ball, that is when I run into the memory problems.
Does that mean that I can no longer use them?
Should I resave another one and just work with the right half of it and use another one for the left half?
I guess what I am asking is, what is the best thing to do now?

I think Borg's suggestion if you run into that sort of problem was to go and do something else; even leave it running overnight if necessary. I'd certainly suggest quitting any other programs that may be running so your CPU can give it its undivided attention.

It wasn't just stopping, it said that it wanted me to debug it. I kept on using it anyway and it seems to be fixing itself as I add more plants to that side. I think it just didn't like that big of a jump to that side. There were too many combos that were huge to get to. As I add more plants, it fixes that problem. I am once again using it without any problems. If the yellow cells are too far away from alot of green cells, it will not tell me the combos to get that plant, but if it is near alot of green cells, it will. I just need more green cells. I am working on that.
