I found that too until I learned a "secret" - once you get one magical plant and have produced lots of seeds that you can replant, sell the magic plant on the left side of the gate area. If you have two Fragrance plants - place one on the left and one near the bottom. (One on either side seems to make customers run). Now buy two of the inexpensive decorations - personally I like the stone turtle and the birdhouse. When you click on these two, you get easter egg animation - the bird pops out and sings, the turtle squirts water - and these seem to draw in the crowds! The Weather Vane and Lantern do not seem to have animations. So far these are the only two I've been able to purchase. I do not let the computer choose randomly where to place my plants. I pick each up and place from the left side to the right. Also, I do not sell just 1 plant or 2, I try to sell at least 4 at one time. Watch your customer "bubbles" above their head. They will let you know if they are looking for Blue Aster or Rose(sp) plants. If you include these "customer plants", you get more people - I've had up to 20 at a time and sold all my plants in less than 8 minutes using these techniques.

I don't have a problem selling. I just leave the room and do household chores, cook, study my hebrew, and once in a while check on the plants until all sell. Frankly, up until recently I've felt sorry for Arthur sitting out there in the nursery, waiting for buyers and trying to look interested. However, I have learned that this rather boring job works in Arthur's favorite. The pay is pretty and he has plenty to time to work out plans in his notebook for VV3...
