I've already bought/fully researched all the other thechs, I've solved all the puzzles, but I wanted to buy level three exploration because I thought something new would happen. But nothing did. I've dragged a few separate villages all around the island to see if they saw something new, but they didn't. Was nothing supposed to happen, or an I completly missing something?

I believe you can Keza, but I think they become more common with lvl 3 exploration.

Am I wrong? It's what I've noticed.

It's always the last level of tech that I reach so I didn't notice if the rare items came more often. The only thing I noticed it's that we may see the collectibles and mushroom on the Map!

I'm am about 99.9% sure it has no effect on the puzzles at least. I'm pretty sure I've always solved the puzzles before lvl 3 exploration.

I can't say that I've noticed that rare collectibles appear any more frequently with L3 Exploration than before. So far as I know the only advantage is that collectibles now show in the Map view. Since I almost never use that screen I always leave that particular "advance" to the very last as it is the least useful.
