Hi, The info in Building Tech ...enables new types of buildings, as well as increase the rate of all construction...some types of buildings will not be enabled until other tech improvemnts has been made - if the answer is a spolier please (PM) me.
Also, I am on my last puzzle, thank you madam, does the game continue and your builders actual start building new types of buildings and the tropical huts disappear? or is that line from the Village Tech Building info just 'flowery' writing? patiently awaiting a response. Thanks.

The game is open-ended and will continue after you've completed all 12 of the puzzles. The description in the "Info" for Building Technology is correct. At least one of the puzzles is a new type of building. You didn't expect the info to contain spoilers, did you?

There are no new kinds of huts for the villagers to live in. Once you have completed all the puzzles, you've seen every kind of structure in the game.

Thank you, Madam. Boy oh boy am I waiting inpatiently/patiently for and update/addon to this game, where I can build 'other' structures, explore more of the 'island', etc. Now that, would be totally wicked.
I guess I will finish up puzzle 12 and keep those fisky villagers from crossing the 'bloodlines' and wait for the update.
Side note: this is my first sims game and I must say, LDW this is TOTALLY WICKED. Thanks.

We have been..ahem...encouraged to make additions for this game.

We're going to hammer out this maintainance update (1.1) as quickly as possible and include some balance fixes and small additions to the game at that time. As far as new content or major additions to the game...well anything is possible at this point.

Was I vague enough?

Hi Arthur, hmmm vague, now that is an understatment, but I read between the lines. And as far as being 'encourged' to make additions to this game, lucky for you I am in NY and you are in San Francisco or I would be over piling you with food and drink to keep you up and working on the new additions (LOL) Oh well, patiently waiting.
Question, why would a maintenance update 1.1 require someone to have to start over?

Thanks for the great game.

1.1 could require a 'clean install' which means deleting your current version of Village Sim and your current game in progress.

This is because we add new data to the savegame file and it is no longer compatible with your current game in progress.

An example of the kind of data we might want to store in the savegame file: data on deceased villagers to put on their tombstones.

Heck, I'd be sitting in the corner reading up on whatever code their using so that I could take over after they've passed out .

BTW, just like to know, what code are you using? It can't be simply C++, that would take forever (or maybe I'm just dead wrong ).

I played the whole game but could never get the last puzzle as I didn't have any master builders..(over 230 hours). So, I started again. (actually 3 times as the village kept dying) but finally, I got through all 12 puzzles and I sure would like to keep going but nothing seems to happen now. The 65 villagers are just getting older. I can't wait for the upgrade.

If your villagers show a status of "Sick" when you look at the details screen, you can heal them by dragging another villager to them. Even a sick villager can heal another villager. If it doesn't work the first time, try again. Sometimes a villager will "resist" healing attempts by a specific doctor. If that happens, try a different villager. Villagers who show a status of "weakened" will generally improve in health over time unless they are sick, elderly or continue to suffer on-the-job injuries.

It will be released when development and testing are complete. LDW doesn't publish dates for software releases, since unpredictable things can (and do) happen!
