I just saw this in the latest issue of Handango Champion: Quote:
Congratulations to LDW Software, Handango's Developer of the Month for May 2005! LDW Software is the creator of great sim games including the popular Fish Tycoon and Plant Tycoon for Pocket PC.
Way to go!

I saw that this afternoon, as well, and was very excited for LDW.

That's wonderful! Congratulations, you guys ARE the greatest and Fish Tycoon IS the best.....I never ever ever get tired of playing.....I Had to take my husband to the hospital on Wednesday night and spend the night there and I DIDN'T have my pocket pc with me......It was terrible....reading the signs on the walls, and counting tiles on the floors.....He's fine now, but I almost died of boredom. I'll never be without my fishies ever again!

My wife has been playing Village Sim for about a week now. I'm kind of watching over her shoulder and enjoying her delight with the game. I'm really impressed at the programming - the many random events all coming together with no logical contradictions that we have noticed. As a programmer myself and a veteran of many years playing computer games, I am truly in awe of what you have done, and especially to have done it in less than 5MB! Congratulations to Arthur and the programming staff, to the beta testers, and to the management staff for a wonderful game experience

VillageSim is great. Very addictive - only my second day so far and already I am hooked :-)
I found LPP a little dull - no offence, as I got tired of Petz very quickly as well.

Can one Sim Village user beam their current game to another user? Please advise. Thanks!

You can beam your VillageSavegame.pdb file to another user if you have a file manager program (e.g. FileZ). The Beam selection on the menu is to beam the Village Sim game itself, not the savegame file.
There are several things to keep in mind if you're going to share savegame files. Accepting a savegame file will overwrite a game that might already be in progress on the receiving device. Also, when the other user launches Village Sim with the received savegame file, it will come up as unregistered, since the HotSync IDs won't match. Finally, if you did not pause the game before you saved the game, the other user could have a bunch of dead villagers if it's very long before they launch the game (or if their Palm's system clock is not the same as yours, for some reason).
