Well I have finally given up on this game until somebody can do a walkthru or a list of which plants to crossbreed to give the magic plants,So PLEASE !! PLEASE !!PRETTY PLEASE!!!! Somebody come up with one soon..........

That walkthrough is just a "getting started" guide. I believe that Yorzah wants something a bit more detailed. Like start with these four plants, cross A & B and you'll get Magic Plant #1 (E), cross E & C, and you'll get Magic Plant #2 (F), cross C & D to make G, then cross F & G to get magic Plant #3 (H). etc.

I'm working on something like that, but I haven't yet worked out the most efficient crosses to get all of the Magic Plants.

You hit the nail on the head sfrose thats exactly what I need,I have got all the upgrades and bought umpteen seeds and crossbred them but all I have ended up with is 3 trays of seeds, I have even used the mutation and still nothing.I know im doing something wrong but I dont know what, its so disappointing when you crossbreed and wait patiently for a MP to show then all I get is another plant,so Im waiting patiently for someone to make a list.So keep up the good work sfrose,cos this game as got me beat lol

Your doing better than I. I can't even manage to get to the upgrade. As much as I enjoy PT, I am soooo discouraged, I'm ready to give up and go back to The Sims until VV3 comes out.

Try using Borg's spreadsheet if you've got Excel. You can enter in the plants you've got and it can automagically tell you which plants to breed.

                                                    

I dont have excel only the excel veiw which I got from here how or were can I get it ????

The free Excel Viewer will not allow you to use the interactive features of the charts. You might try using OpenOffice, which is also free and is very compatible with Excel (although I haven't tried it with Borg's Excel file).

I've tried it with Open Office and I can read it but the automatic thing doesn't seem to work. The other version that had the breeding tree works in open office though.

I tried opening the spreadsheet in OpenOffice.org's spreadsheet. Like Excel, macros have to be allowed through the security settings first; the default is not to allow them.

However, when I tried it I got an error message "... No Script!", so it doesn't look promising, unless Borg feels like spending more time on making the macro OpenOffice.org-compatible.

lol, me too. I'm not sure if that was a typo or not, but it's such a great word! I'm going to start using that! With Arnie's permission of course...

I think that Arnie may have gotten it from me, or we were both using it on our own. I've been using the would "automagically" for years. It seems especially appropriate with LDW's games.

We've both been using it, I'd say. I'm sure I didn't invent it so I must have copied its use from someone, but I've no idea where or when I first saw/heard it. It certainly sums up what goes on inside computers for most of us.

And of course, Isola is a magic island ...

Using the forum search engine shows that I used it almost a year ago, and then two days ago , and then you used it in this thread.

But it is a pretty common usage in geeky mailing lists and forums.
