Hello, I have come to the part where my villagers built a sewing hut, will it make any difference if I will drag one villager there and spend 5000 exp. on new clothes? Maybe increased disease resistance? I ask about this because I really do not want to spend my exp. points on anything :P

It makes no difference to the game, apart from pleasing your villager and (presumably) you. 5000 tech points is a lot to spend so it's only really logical to spend them on clothes once you've achievd L3 in all the techs, and you've nothing else to spend them on.

When I have surplus tech points I change their clothes to things like a white outfit for a doctor so that they're easy to spot (or changing a non-doctor's outfit from white). You can also group your villagers by clothing if you want (say green for farmers, blue for researchers...) Or you can put a special outfit on someone you're grooming for elder. Whatever you want. I never bother until I've everything else paid for with tech points first however.

Oh, and the other time I change their clothes is when my 3 year old helps me. She loves to take them to the "clothes store" and pick out what they should wear.

You need to get an event. Other than that, 50 is the limit.

When you get to the later part of the game, there is nothing to spend the tech points on ... so why not make sure everyone has different clothing on? Gives them individuality, and who knows -- a girl who likes blue just might enjoy a blue dress! I know they give a hop of joy after receiving them~ \:\)

I agree with you, Rainbowlady! When I see two villagers dressed with same clothes, I always try to change one, taking care of their likes/dislikes and of their hairstyle! But with 115 villagers, it's not everytime easy! \:\)

But at this point in the game, LOL what is there left but to make sure they are doing well, see how many children there are, have a few teachings, help the new "adults" do SOMETHING, hopefully something productive to keep the food supply going, or teaching them to be healers, keep the elders happy by parenting (hey, I've seen a couple of elders keep REAL happy and even increased their parenting skills to MASTER, just by smooching and visiting the "lovely hut" even though they couldn't reproduce!!! LOL A couple of times, that was the ticket to get a totem!

I have dressed all my adept and trainee male doctors in red and black, and the females in blue, so I can spot them easily. With 100 people, it's not easy to spot someone you need without it. I also put all women 60 and over with no hope of making Esteemed Elder in long green muumuus, and they are the Matriarchs of the Kanele Tribe.

I put all my females over 50 in what I call the Cinderella dresses - lol - the long chiffon orange looking dresses.
They make it over 50 they get to be Cinderella.

I have a thread also like that . That An Original Villager affects how he / she looks.

Just run a game without renaming.

Found 2 villagers who have the same name.

They are similar in dress / clothes!

So do I! Also, on leaving the clothes hut, they look around first, as if to make sure no-one's looking, then, when they are satisfied they won't be laughed at, they do the little hop. It always cracks me up. \:\)

Each time they are leaving the clothes hut, when they are looking around (I think it's to say: "look at my pretty new clothes!!") I say: "Yippee!" and then they jump! \:D
