When I upgraded from trial to full in Plant Tycoon instead of sending me an activation key for my trial version I had to download a whole new game and was instructed to trash the demo before installing the full version. Does this really mean I have to start all over agan? I've been playing for fifteen hours and just did get enough money to upgrade to the good soil. If this is really how its going to be we need to be warned first. Please advise. I'm on the verge of sliding into a deep and dark depression.

I didn't have that problem. I purchased from Big Fish Games, once my one hour was up and I purchased the game, all my stats and info were there.

Where did you buy the game from?

I got the trial version off the Apple MAC Downloads site I bought the upgrade directly from the Last Day of Work site.

Angiejoy, you should be able to continue to play the game you started with the demo version. Plant Tycoon's savegame files are located in user\Library\Preferences\LDW\Plant Tycoon (in case you wish to back them up for safekeeping). When you start to play the full version, Plant Tycoon should automatically continue from where you left off.

I panicked too soon. You're right and now I have backed everything up but I have a new problem with the full version.. I played along just fine for awhile and got my cash up a little. I had enough that I was able to buy the upgraded soil from the Supply Store (when I played the demo version of the game it would't let me buy the better soil and gave me a message that the full version was required.) Now , even though I have the full version and have been playing it for the last 24 hours, I've bought the upgraded soil but I'm getting that same message when I try to buy the updated trimmers. It won't let me buy them and tells me I need the full version. But I have the full version. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks for you help.

Are you sure that you're not accidentally playing the demo version again? Unless you deleted the demo version from your Mac, the two downloads are probably still on your computer, since they have different folder names. Make sure that you are launching the game from the the full version's game folder. \:\)
