OK, many have finished and are wondering what to do, so I have a challenge. Start a new game and discover all the magic plants with the least amount of "Species Found" and I would like to see a stats board to be sure. I am not taking the challenge, because I have not yet found all 6 , I'm at four! Please tell me if you are acccepting the challenge, and post your results also, right here!

I think it's a good idea Jazzo, but it will be a long time before I can participate in that one. I've only found 3 mp's so far. Try as I might, I just keep getting the same species over and over again. And I've read all the posts on the breeding charts and still can't understand those things so I'll just have to be patient and hope a few good flukes happen for me.

I have a idea for a challenge

-Get All Magic Plants with NO Tool Upgrades for the plants (Soil, Water, clipper or nets)and NO Nursery objects.

-You can however, buy any chemicals.

That would be quite hard, you would haft to hope for the plant's to mature before they died!!

Well you can use items that restore their's health.

And there are walkthrough instructions I wrote where it can be done with 14 species, the problem is getting lucky with the right four as the starter plants.

Yeah, in mine when I started I never got a spotted reptans, and that threw me off!

I also did mine without the L3 soil upgrade, though I did upgrade to L2 soil, and bought a second seed box. (I didn't need to get the seed box for the "win" it was just easier for something else I was trying to do with that game.)

I don't know if it qualifies at all as a challenge, but I completed both a chart for flower colors up to Mela and all crosses, plus a chart for foliage up to scandens by only using common seeds and crossbreeding. I've found 6 magic plants. I love to swat a lot of bugs and am getting good at it, have 45 of 48, and haven't upgraded my net.

Next goal is finding more species ... anyone know the best plants to use the mutation liquid on? I really don't want to waste my hard earned "money" on plants that are going to change into something I already have!! LOL

So it can't be evil.

In VST on the Chart, I've noticed one can make most of the plants between the seeds that you currently have (that usually means the center of the chart), but one cannot make the plants not between the seeds you have (that usually means the edges of the chart). So if you look at what seeds you have in VST on the chart, mutate the seeds closest to the edge and you will usually a 1 in 4 chance (or better) of getting a new species.
