I was wondering if someone could answer this without spoiling too much for me?
I know there are 23 types of flowers and 23 foliage. I've been focusing on breeding all the combinations of foliage, but I can't get past 16 - I've bred them all to each other, and I just get more of the same ones. Let's see if I can remember the ones I have: Reptans, Ball Cactus, Pipe Cactus, Scandens, Maranta, Glad(etc), Glaber, Scandens, Maple, Rareoak, Orchid, Grass, Astera, Bamboo, Fanleaf, and Fern. [Wow, how you know if you've been playing too long: all foliage memorized!]
Does anybody know if it is necessary to buy seeds from the store to get the other types? Or did I just make some kind of booboo and miss the "bridge" species that helps in getting the others?
Also, I may have made an error - in my last few rounds of breeding, after learning to identify the foliage type by the shape of the seed, I haven't been bothering to grow them, just looking at the seed and saying "oh, that's a ball cactus". [I'm ignoring flower types for now.] Are there multiple types of foliage that have the same looking seed, so I could have missed a foliage type? There are some variations in the different seeds within a foliage type. For example, some of the Bamboo seeds look like a fortune cookie, some look like a brown molar tooth, depending on the flower type.
I haven't noticed yet that you could have two same looking seeds and have them produce two different foliage types. Does this sound right or wrong to you?
I'd like to get past these 16, but don't want to look at the charts because I love discovering the new types for myself and finding out the names.
Any hints would be appreciated!
Thanks.
